OK, so something weird happened to me a few weeks ago. I reached into my handbag to grab my blood testing kit (trying to transform from the world’s worst diabetic to just a middle of the road, can’t touch this type of diabetic) and out came a bar of galaxy. My favourite chocolate. This may not seem weird but I am fighting the flab and the sugar, and rarely buy chocolate. Where had this come from?
I asked Emma, as id been living with her, if she had snuck it in there? No, she replied, she would have eaten it rather than smuggled it into my bag. So the mystery continued.
The day before I had been really poorly. I still didn’t feel much better, but my head was no longer swimming and nor was my nose running all over the place. I went to the car and realised that my fuel light was no longer on, and upon further investigation I had a receipt for petrol in my wallet. So I had clearly gone to the petrol station to fill up, and checking on the receipt, it was me who had bought the galaxy bar.
This worries me immensely.
I do not remember getting petrol. I do no remember buying chocolate. I remember leaving work (slightly late) and going home. I then remember Emma coming home, and that’s it. How powerful are these cold and flu drugs?! I was tucked up like a kid on Christmas Eve before half nine, and woke the next morning feeling groggy; walking into things for the morning and generally feeling an air of malheureuse.
I’m going to check the label before I take them next time. Maybe the warnings that you shouldn’t operate heavy machinery after taking them are justified!!!
